13" Macbook Air (Mid-2011 model)? Cheapest price

Hi guys,
A poor student here needs(or so I've convinced myself) a Macbook Air 13", but need the lowest price possible to keep costs down…

What's the cheapest you guys have found it? Willing to buy it basically in store anywhere in Sydney, or online if need be, give it your best shot guys (and gals) :D

PS: Just to make sure, the printer rebate is only available from Apple Online Store right? not from a bricks+mortar apple store or jb/dse?

NOTE: It shouldn't be hard to get 10% off at the actual store, so unless there's a better price than $1300, are there any promotions on at DSE/JB/Apple store that I could take advantage of?

Poor? Really? If you are poor why you go for luxury? haha

    • Yeah, I know what you're saying.
I really need an ultrabook though, and by the looks of it, most decent ones still have flaws (EG i need a backlit keyboard which i think the zenbook didn't have) so I really do need a macbook air :L

  • Buy from apple search/get the education discount. Usually more than 10% off and software bonus.

  • i believe its around 5% from the apple store.. if you are a student you shoudl wait for there yearly FREE IPOD TOUCH.. =) it should start in a months time or so

    • I would, except I need it sooner rather than later. Should have jumped on the Dick Smith version of that deal while it was still running…

  • apple printer rebate is only offered at apple stores.. you dont need to buy online for that rebate.. i did this last year
