Paying for Hosting Services but Never Used

My client has registered her domain in crazydomains in 2015 and since then she has been paying for domain renewals and also hosting charges. But she did not realize that the website was hosted on different provider and she is paying for that as well.

But Crazydomains never bothered to email her saying that she has been paying for hosting but not using it since 2015. And they are silently accepting the payment of hosting.

Is there any way she can request for refund? but as per the policies it is only 60 day refund policy. Anyone has experienced such? and any tips?

Crazydomains was providing a service, if your 'client' didn't use it or not isn't Crazydomains issue.

Is there any way she can request for refund?

Your client received all services they paid for. What do you want a refund on?

Its seems your client has a habit of making bad judgement..

Imagine buying food from Coles, not eating it, then wanting a refund 5 years later.

They provided a service that they were contracted to, it is not their fault that your client chose to not use it.

    My client

They pay you and you come to OzB to seek an answer… how this is different to the problem you are try to solve for her… 🤔

No, but perhaps your client needs to find someone who provides better services than just going off and asking ozbargain?

    Lol…. 100% troll post.

60 day change of mind policy 6 years later. It's not up to them to monitor what their customers do with their product.

This would be like me ringing my customers after selling them parts 6 years ago and asking them if they have used them and if not refunding them.

Can you please refund me on the blinker fluid you sold me 5 years ago? $187 if I recall.

I drive a BMW so never used it.

      • +3

Yeah, unfortunately, we only offer a 1,820 day return policy…

Didn't you get my emails over the last few years where I was making sure you were using our blinker fluid to its full potential…

Don't tell me you bought your blinker fluid elsewhere & paid us for it as well???

She's your client - you refund her for your lack of knowledge about what to do when this occurs.

  • Could it be that you were in control of it all, fawkt it up, and shes asking you for a refund.. ?

Sure she can. Please make sure you do it before April fools is over so customer service can get a laugh.
