  • Cheers Op, 8 got Seiko Prospex, got the one with the olive band last time didn’t like colour and sold it on eBay.
Prefer this colour with the black band.

    SNE518P is so fugly.

533P is much better looking for only $30 more

    • This is nice.

I dunno, they both look pretty ugly to me. They're just so round, I think because the lugs are almost invisible. And the bezels are disproportionately thick.

      No lol

What’s the point of these world time/gmt watches. They don’t track Daylight saving so… isn’t it basically wrong half the year?

  • Seiko Prospex Solar World Time, Sapphire SSC487P with red dials is fugly

if only Starbuy could do the Citizen BJ7110-51M for $389 like WatchDirect

    • But the Seiko SSC487P doesn't have red dials. Do you mean red hands?

    • Each to his own I suppose. I think the SSC487P1 is quite nice actually

      • Didn't mind the red hand on that watch but the slanted date I just can't stand.

They could have moved the 'seiko' up and to the right. And the 'world time' down and to the right.

So there is space for the calendar date on the 3 o'clock

  • How easy is it to adjust the metal strap? There's so many good deals from watch nerd but im on the fence since im unsure on this.

  • Any good black on black watches?
Keen to get one for the collection.

  • Any deals on a Grand Seiko?

    • Not at starbuy, they're a very entry level AD

  • Recently got a Citizen Automatic NH8381-12L from a Starbuy deal, is it normal for the ballbearing inside the crown to be noisy? It rolls around on its own on any hand movement.

    • I guess you're referring to the rotor spinning inside the case when you move your arm? Working as intended. But, you shouldn't be able to hear it without pressing the watch to your ear I would imagine.

    • I got this one too from WatchNerd's deal back on 13 Feb. The rotor is noisy but the watch is fantastic. I spoke to the marketing guy at Starbuy and he assured me this is normal for this well-known and proven Miyota movement. This watch keeps fantastically accurate time too, I've had it on my wrist since it was delivered. For the price, it's a lot of watch!

  • any mechanical movement watch on sale?

    • Look at the Starbuy weekend flash sale link above mate, there's a number of automatics on that list
