Cost of Adding Ducted Air Conditioning and Roller-Door? [SA]

What would be the cost of adding ducted reverse cycle air conditioning to a 3 or 4 bed house?
Along with a single electric roller door?

I am in SA.

Can this be added to a home loan?

Depends on the size of the home, what size unit, how many outlets you want, floor or ceiling ducting, and how many zones required. Allow maybe $10k - $12k.

Depends on what work is required to fit it and if any modifications to the supporting structure are required.

I suggest you contact a few tradies and get a measure and quote as a lot more information is required to even guess the cost.

You'd have to ask your financial institution if it's possible.

I would suggest getting some top grade window tint. Does an amazing job and is very cost effective!!

  • New build or existing home? Does the garage have a door?

Get a quote for ducted, you don’t need to go ahead.

You can buy a door controller for $3-400. I’m guessing by your question you won’t DIY so get a quote for install. Probably $7-900. It’s not difficult. I’ve put controllers in my garage after the old ones died. Reputable brand for just under $300 ea.

Adding a complete door is more expensive, but not difficult in most circumstances. Just depends on what the opening is like and if any framework needs building to make the door rails etc fit.
