      Too much OzBargain screen time.

    Don't delay your purchase.

    • Why do you say this? Interested as I’ve been told my next prescription will need to be multifocal.

I buy from eyebuydirect very happy with them. My glasses that used to cost $300 from specsavers etc cost about $70 posted to me.

  • I stocked up at Big W optical when they were closing down.

  • Should've gone to specsavers

My Top tip is to buy many frames for one set of lenses. Its great if you can live with scratched lenses. When the frame breaks, you just swap out to the next.

  • Specsaver.

My insurance doesn't have individual maximum for each item like frame and lens, and don't care whether the cost includes options. Even with my wife's terrible prescription I can get her glasses with only $2 (two dollars) gap with the following caveats. So we just get a new pair every year.

    Only get a single pair
Frame price must not over $75
    Mid range thinning
    Anti reflective coating.

Specsavers: Just snap them at the arm hinge before the 2-year warranty runs out and they'll get you a replacement.

Secret is to get designer frames which get discontinued after a year, so when they break you get to pick a new frame. With the Specsavers frames you'll just get that same frame back because they have heaps of stock.

Does anyone have experience with buying glasses from AliExpress?

    • Can't see how these could be any worse than the cheap reading glasses at the petrol station or BigW.
