Looking for a Motion/Light Sensing "Smart" LED Lightbulb

As per the title, I'm looking for a Motion/Light Sensing "Smart" LED Lightbulb.
It doesn't need to be wifi or bluetooth or anything that fancy, actually I'd prefer not to have that, because I need to buy a bunch so I'm looking for the cheapest and brightest.

I'd like to put them on the stairs, so if it's dark, and it detects motion, it lights up, savig me the hassle of having to turn on and off the bulbs per floor.

I remember seeing some at aldi, with motion detection, but I dunno if they also had light sensing..

thanks

I don't think that exists? It's either one or the other as far as I'm aware.

    • Introducing the new Philips motion and daylight sensor LED lamps, a clever energy efficient addition to any home. Thanks to a built-in sensor, this modern LED lamp can detect when you walk close by and turn on automatically. When the surrounding light becomes bright enough, the motion sensor automatically switches off so the lamp will not turn on even when there is motion around, thus saving you energy.

      Ha, I stand corrected!

    • I have these in my WIR and porch lights. I love them and they do only come on when its dark, but it picks up all movement. My dog walking past with the WIR door open will set it off which is not the best at 3am….

Search "PIR LED bulb" on eBay or AliExpress and you'll find tons of them cheaply.

Most listings seem to copy/paste "Too bright or in the day, the lamp not work. It only work in dark environment or at night." so they should be light sensing.

I have a motion bulb in my pantry. Haven't touched the switch in years.

  • Aldi sell these as a special buy for about $15. I didn't read the last sentence before commenting.
