[Unconfirmed] Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance Light Strip Plus Extension 1m $10 @ Bunnings, Parafield

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Great deal
Scored my bargain of the day today.

My response to Amazon for not being able to get the lifx strip light at the black friday sale, and bunnings not price beating that amazon black friday sale.

Guess my Fortune rests with Philips Hue primarily.

These are great philips hue branded light strip plus extension of 1m (non bluetooth version), so needs hue hub for that.

Packaging says 950 lumen and 11.5 W

What's the bad thing about it ??
**Not compatible with the bluetooth version
**requires base kit to work

Now wait starts to search for cheap non bluetooth hue light strip plus base kit.

Funny story from today tho
I told bunnings worker to grab me three boxes, he handed me one of the boxes being the display box (one without anything in it).
(it's quite common with bunnings clearance to be without proper seals), I wanted to get one that's properly sealed, took to bunnings worker to get one with proper seal, she luckily noticed it was empty display box that I was given, (which I didn't even knew), anyway luckily she replaced empty box with actual item before leaving the shop (last one they had sealed)

Not sure what stores have it what don't.

Great deal, thanks. I also love the inclusion of the personal anecdote. :)

  • +1

Doesn’t help us if you don’t tell us which store you got it from.

  • +2

Please let us know which store
Also I'm assuming these are useless without the base kit?

    • -6

Yup useless without base kit, so wait game for me for deal on the base kit

      • +3

How about telling us which store?

  • Bunnings was open on easter sunday?

    • My two local stores were only closed on Good Friday, open all of the other days.

  • OP is from South Australia based on previous posts.
I speculate that the Bunnings store was Windsor Gardens.

    • +3

Won't help as OP most likely took the last 3

  • +2

If its the last one in the store, then its most likely a local store clearance and not obtainable elsewhere. Not really a deal then. Also the OP has deliberately removed the store name and is ignoring questions on which store.

    • +3

I revoked my vote based on this.

      • +3

IMHO it borderlines deserving the negative vote.

  • -7

My advice is give a call or visit to your local stores.
I m very certain that some stores will still have these @$10.

    • If you are so certain, maybe you should tick the associated box?

      • -6

I am not associated with bunnings. Im just guessing as there's many bunnings in Australia. At least another one somewhere else will have this item too

        • +3

I guess I’ll call around Australia then

          • -3

@Ebaygiftcards: exactly anyone can literally call any store, mention them the item number, confirm price, hold/reserve for yourself

If they want stock details ask Bunnings employees, not me.

    • +3

Clearance items are NOT bunnings-wide. In fact, more often than not that store may be the only one having the clearance, ie if they have a surplus. So no, even if you are "very certain" that is completely baseless.

Because OP is a bit of an arse, he lives in SA and this is actually in stock at Parafield Bunnings, I was there yesterday and there was plenty of stock of it. YMMV for other stores. You're welcome everyone :))

  • +12

I think this is not a worth of posting should be removed.

  • +11

    This is OzBargain, not OzBraggin

    • +4

Looks like Ozbroden to me because that’s what OP seems to be doing.

      • Yeah if he flips it for a profit

  • +2

Parafield is sold out. I was just there.

    • -6

Exactly what happens when someone mentions a store name, people just come to hoard that store.

Left a store clue last time in 2 days whole shelves were stripped out

      • +7

OzBargain isn’t about hiding where bargains are.
Tell all the details so others can get it or don’t post.

        • +2

thanks for saving my time drive to Parafield

          • +1

@ntt: Kinda feel responsible for giving false hope sorry :( Seemed like there was a bit when I was there

      • Just letting you know how moderators will generally moderate deals where there isn't any information given by the OP on how the deal is obtainable

        • If the deal itself lacks information on how the deal is obtained, it will be unpublished for Insufficient Details for Upcoming deal or Unobtainable. Or, it might be moved to the forums to preserve all user comments and discussion, if there is enough of it to warrant preserving.

        • if the deal has been published up for some time (a moderator didn't review it until much later) and there is some reliable crowdsourced information that we can use to update the deal with, we'll roll with that and keep the deal published (or re-published) with new information.

        • Finally: If you want to keep the deal to yourself and not tell anyone on how to obtain it, maybe don't post it on Ozbargain at all and perhaps just share it with your friends and family on social media. If you post it on Ozbargain, your assumed intention is to share it with the entire userbase here and the deal itself must be in line with our guidelines. Refer to point 1.

        Thanks and regards

        • Appreciate your clairifcation. However, the OP already confirmed below that it wasn't the Parafield store. Whilst the deal may possibly be obtainable at other Bunnings stores (it's an in-store sale and not available online), there is lack of information regarding which stores has it on clearance, stock levels etc. This post shouldn't be considered a deal.

    • Ah, so sorry to hear that :(( Must've been OP being a little too greedy?

      • +1

Thankfully I was there for something else and had a look while I was there.

  • Clearing loads of hue in Certain WA stores too. This, the dimmer/lamp combo for $19 and Hie go lamps for $69

    • -4

It's in quite a lot of stores
Mainly old philips hue (without bluetooth) stuff and lifx (old packaging) stuff.

And it's definitely not something store wife only it's across the bunnings I think.

I did not go to parafield if anyone is wondering.

      • +1

Nah, we're wondering which store you actually went to.

  • +4

OP goes to the effort of writing an essay about his bargain then refuses to tell anyone which store, instead, sending people on an Easter egg hunt to work it out themselves. This deal (and post) is all but entirety pointless and goes against the spirit of the OZB community.

  • As the deal isnt at Parafield as confirmed by the OP, then the heading of the deal is incorrect and the same argument applies. It's not a deal as it cant be confirmed by anyone, deal needs to be unpublished to let the OP's head deflate.

    • Yeah agreed. Missing relevant details (title is apparently not the store) and thus can’t confirm if stocks at a level to meet guidelines. Really not sure why this was posted if the OP has a concern people would go to the store and buy them. The OP already had their own purchases.

  • These are $19 in Bunnings Canberra

    • -1

Which store and was it just the light strips on clearance?

      • +1

Airport. Was the 1m add on, didn't see anything else

        • Thanks, much appreciated.
