Where can I buy some discounted Flight Centre gift cards?

Hey guys,

I was on one of the gift card portal websites the other day and I swear I found some discounted flight centre gift cards. I am booking a trip and am racking my brain as to where I saw them and can't seem to find them anywhere! Does anyone perhaps know where I can get them?

The small discounts might not be worth having a 'middleman' stuck in all your travel plans! There's a few disadvantages in not booking directly with the airline/hotel, such as additional fees for changes or even the contact hours when you need to find someone during your trip.

    • Yeah I've already managed to get them to price match the lowest fares that I could find so the price they are offering is very competitive. I've also got them to waive all fees and credit card charges so credit card is an option, I just wanted to try and get a further saving using discounted gift cards.

Including change fees? So if you wanted to change your flight after you complete your booking, they wouldn't charge you a fee?
It sounds like you've done your research, but this is something to be mindful of after everything that happened last year.

edit: Saw that you're having an instrastate holiday next week so what I said probably doesn't apply too much in your case :)

  • Do you want to pay in gift cards?

Given the current travel climate I'd be paying by credit card for fuss free refunds or charge backs.

The trip is in the same state I am and in the next week so I'm happy to wear the risk.

      • Cool. Never thought I'd use Flight Centre for an intrastate trip but see you are in Qld so I guess that's reasonable.

  • Ozbargain Classifieds. I've sold and bought some on there before.

  • I was sure they were on multiple rewards programs, as I was going to use them for Easter but ended up getting a better deal direct. I’ve just checked across 4 programs, and the only 1 with them remaining is Macquarie Marketpalce with only a 1% discount. I think you’re out of luck.

    • Union Shopper has them back at 3% off from today.

Have you checked the wiki page and checked if you're a member of any of those programs?

I don't quite understand the logic behind booking through flight centre then looking for gift cards to cut down costs.
Basically you're paying a commission and then trying to discount out the commission, net zero benefit.

Just organise the holiday yourself, save the hassle.

    • You may not pay a commission after careful comparison.

Comparable plain example is Target on Catch. You may pay less for a Target product coz Catch giftcards(or LattitudePay Promo on Catch) can be sourced cheaper.
