sucks, i've got a US playstation plus account, but playing on the AU disc version of GTA, so these bonuses don't work. even the criminal enterprise starter pack didn't work (purchased from the US store, but didn't apply to my account).

Well, cheaper PS Plus doesn't come for free I guess

      • yup, you're right. can't even buy the US digital version of GTA as i've already purchased the criminal enterprise starter pack and can't get GTA without that now, so they're blocked out. pretty annoying.

        • Luckily I didn't see the US deal and just went with AU version instead. So grabbing deals and buying discs is easier on AU region? Will AU discs work on US?

Do you purchase things on your US playstation account? I stopped using mine when Australias bank wouldn't let people purchase US things with Australian cards.

Yes, you buy the credit from Amazon US website. Just add a random USA address to your account (I used a hotel one) in a state that doesn't have sales tax. You can switch to it in the top left of the website whenever you want to buy the credit or PS+ subscription and you receive it instantly as a code you copy/paste to the PlayStation site.

I set up a US PayPal account and linked my Aus credit card to it. Gave it the address of one of the shipping forwarding companies I use.

It should work. I have a singaporean plus account and au disc version and it works fine.

  • Thank you so much! Worked so easily, thanks for the exact link too!

  • added to the cart, shows $0 but Order & Pay button greyed out, anyone else facing similar issue?

You have to click the little square that says I request immediate access or something like that for it to appear normal

      • Yes had ticked the checkbox as well, tried on both desktop and app, doesn't work for me

Just started the game last month so still playing local, maybe because I haven't payed online yet?

  • Thanks

Thanks! Been curious about online GTA but I keep hearing it is a toxic environment?

    • +1

It can be annoying and there are some who seem to do nothing but make things hard but it’s easy enough to avoid, the missions are best done with mates though IMO

      • Yeah can't imagine trying this without a crew.

The game is structured to be adversarial as well as cooperative.

If you have friends, you can form a team and do things like missions, selling product and heists.

The game actively rewards other players for preventing (killing) you from completing missions and destroying your products (costing you lots of game time taken to produce them), those rewards are not that high, so I think most people just like to cause grief to other players (they care called griefers in the game).

On playstation it is less toxic as there is no hacking, on PC the game is often ruined by people who make themselves invincable, bomb you from across the map, crash your game or make the session so overloaded with their hack that it just freezes.

      • no hacking

I'm seeing 'god mode' griefers more frequently on PS4 lately

      • Thanks for the info..Sounds better than I thought.

    • There are different GTA Online environments, including Solo (you are the only player, the rest are NPCs), Invite only (you and any friends you invite), and open (free for all). I only started playing it recently to help the missus out on some missions). You can switch between environments, keeping the same character & cash/cars etc.

Most missions are pretty hard to do solo, and a lot are based on the player needing to purchase a $2m-ish property (or submarine etc), so it would be a fair bit of grinding without the above cash injections.

Missus avoids the open environment…seems there's always someone killing you within a couple of minutes, or joining in on your mission only to deliberately sabotage it.

Link doesn’t appear to be working anymore

  • How long does it take to make this in-game?

<15 min doing Bogdan heist ‘glitch’ with 2 people

Depends what income producing assets you have.

If you are active at a time where there are bonuses (like double money) for selling products, it would be done in an hour or so.

But that requires having businesses built and producing.

I have virtually all of them.

While your businesses are passively producing product you can use that time to do things like heists (which require more money to have the prerequisites) and easily score $1m+ in less than an hour.

      • Thanks

There are many youtube channels that are dedicated to GTAO.

Two that I frequent are Tylarious (from the US) and TGG (Australian), both have a good mix of helpful information and light hearted banter.

Both offer regular updates on everything GTA including the bonuses / discounts for the week, in depth tutorials on getting started ( as a solo guy or as a team), in depth tutorials on doing big money heists and how to run various businesses in the game.

I wish I had found them earlier as my method of money grinding was very inefficient compared to their suggested methods.
