[SA] Best value solar systems in SA?

Hello fellow South Australians, would like any advice or recommendations on solar systems available to us. What did it end up costing you and are you happy with it?
Am in Adelaide (Semaphore/Port Adelaide).
Anyone got one with a battery? Thoughts?

    Hi mate.

i have a 6.6kw system fronius inverter canadian solar panels.

had it for two years. havent paid an electricity bill since. two person household. paid $5300 from goliath solar.

very happy with the supplier, and the system. im with origin and i get a discount on top of the regular electricity plan plus an 18c fit

i dont think batteries are worth it yet.

Hey mate, what's the 18c fit mean?( sorry for my cluelessness).
      Like they pay you ?

      Thanks for the recommendation!

18c fit means 18c feed in tarrif

eg my solar make 30kw in a day, i get 18c per kw

Yep sweet, thanks for the advice buddy!

    • If you're indeed from SA, you could've gotten same size system with 10kwh battery thrown in for around that price after SA government rebate 2 years ago. But I think that ship has sailed.

      • Mmm, no you couldnt…

        • Pretty sure he means the sunterra deal and similar.
Ironically those same growatt batteries are now about 3.5k (6Kw battery), meaning you still could get a similar system for about 8-9k. Problem is most solarqoute and such charge a leg to install batteries. See the huge fee to install a telsa battery.

We’ve installed a 6.6kw system with fronius inverter a few months ago from aviva energy solutions and paid $2190. We’re very happy with the installer as well as the system. Not yet installed battery.

Thanks heaps! Will certainly look into them. Are you finding you're getting a close to zero bill?

Is this the one you said? https://avivaenergysolutions.com.au/ I can't find an address in Adelaide, only in Perth. Do they hire contractors to do the job here? It looks interesting.

        • These're the location details : Head office :199, Maley St. Newdegate, WA 6355
Perth Office :19/8, Hurley St, Canningvale, WA. 6555,
Queensland Office: 9/204 Alice St, Brisbane QLD,4000

          • @Isla Brown: Unfortunately they don't do micro inverters or optimizers. I have a partially shaded roof due to trees.

      • Yes, we're getting close to zero bill

Start above. Get 3 quotes. We are in Adelaide and went with DQ electrical. Great install, and have 6.6kw fronuis system, paid $5,500. Beware of cheap quotes. Do your research on the company.
