Title lacks iPad 2, price, shipping etc…
    (are you a rep?)

It was at this price for a while I think.
Also $29 shipping doesn't make this deal cheap

    • Agreed, put price and shipping in the title. Otherwise:

I feel cheated of Kogan Gift Card.

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/55738

Got their gift card and increase prices on some items such as Samsung galaxy S2

    Dodgy kogan. Never again.

There's something about Kogan that rubs me the wrong way.

      • the way he thinks he is better than everyone? and says his tv's are better than most on the market?

        • Ruslan is annoying and comes over as a douche BUT he is trying to give better value that Gerry who just franchises out his business and expects others to make him his 10% off an old and tired business model based on jacked up imports Australian be blowed!
The reason HN dont want to go overseas/online is that they'd miss out on getting Bogans into usurious finance contracts - that HN get major kickback$ from

        • Probably more how
*he continually baits and switches (his first Android Phone that never actually got made, his POS Android tablet that dropped in specs soon as people had paid for preorders)
*How he takes cheap crappy Chinese Market products, puts a "Kogan" sticker on it, writes some smartass blog post and trys to compare it to Sony etc.
*How he continually says/blogs controversial things just to get media attention. If he's prices and products were decent he'd be getting the attention naturally.
*The gift card thing mention by johndoe

        • From Wally - "The reason HN dont want to go overseas/online is that they'd miss out on getting Bogans into usurious finance contracts - that HN get major kickback$ from"

That only works if the sales rep plays ball. My experience on the weekend was the guy laid out all the extra costs before we got into the interest free signing up process. He told me they are meant to explain it as they go along but he thinks its fairer to lay it out upfront, which I appreciated. Saved me $100 on fridge, plus another credit card costing $5 a month plus an annual charge ($45?). Not to mention all the potential GE Money spam/junk mail etc.

But I think I've gone off topic now. I considered this Kogan deal, but their dodgy returns track record (read on Whirlpool), and the fact these are grey imports from honkers supplied with a separate Aust charge lead (not sure if genuine?) turned me off.

  • I reckon Apple will release the iPad 3 soon anyways. :/

    • Probably around March methinks.

      • That is what all the rumors say

      • methinks that too

    sockpuppeting

it is not $589. you should include their excessive postage, but i smell sockpuppeting too

it sound like sockpuppeting , it smells like sockpuppeting, it is sockpuppeting :)

  • Kogan: 16Gb Wifi model $499 + $29 postage = $528
    - Not a bargain, this is the normal Kogan price. If they had 10% off for a short time, that would be a bargain!
    JBHifi: 16Gb Wifi model $553 + $0 postage = $553
    - Bricks & mortar stores generally won't match Kogan prices, and particularly on Apple products
    Apple: 16Gb Wifi model $579 + $0 postage = $579

ACCC should have a look at Apple, the law states a manufacturer or wholesaler cannot set or influence pricing, yet Apple have managed to restrict deep discounting on all products.
