As title says, Glen Moray single Malt Scotch Whiskey sherry cask, I believe it is the cheapest it has been, and yes it is one of my favourite entry level sherry cask. Taste good

  Agreed, it’s a good gateway whisky for entering the world of scotch. Work your way through the Speysiders, move into some Highland drops, dip your toes in the North Islands, and soon enough you’ll be swimming in a big Islay smoke bomb. There truly is something for everyone, and the Glen Moray offerings are a great place to begin exploring.

    I’m pretty sure this is the only Glen Moray bottle that uses sherry casks for maturing. Their other bottles use oak, port, wine, etc.

    The core GM range are all bourbon casks. Then the additional varieties have blended / finished in the various mentioned casks eg Sherry, Port etc

  Often around $40-45 at Dans on bridge road Richmond. Not sure if it is everywhere. I’ve been buying it regularly and have half a bottle on the shelf. Well worth trying IMHO

    Wow, I have been buying them since last year from Dan and/or BWS and never saw price goes under $50, surprising to see they sell at that figure from Richmond regularly, not bad.

      There is about four different versions of the Elgin classic and one of them is nearly always on sale. It’s usually the sherry cask finish

        Cheers, we never got sherry cask on sale over here, always the double cask. I guess they runs special differently according to areas.

  Hows it compare in being easy to drink with something like Chivas Regal? Got a bottle of that for christmas and its the first scotch Ive drank straight and enjoyed

  I'm new to neat whiskey and enjoying my time trying mostly single malts. Will get to this after the Singleton's (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/616392) and Bowmore's (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/603650). I might have the JW Black neat as well if it's nice.
