      I have the AMD Ryzen 7 version of this laptop (i paid $1199). 4GB is soldered, 4GB is free so you could upgrade to 12GB or 20GB, but 16GB isn't possible

      Not for this model. It’s soldered. The Ryzen one (TM420), is upgradeable.

      I have bought both and returned the Intel one (TP470) after researching models.

    Not a bad machine, but don't be fooled by the i7 label. It's still just a quad core cpu

    Nothing to worry much about, the screen is a problem for this laptop, it is not good at all….
