Hello, this is another thread about crypto mining. I just came across the Helium network crypto mining network. Is there anyone here who has this hotspot and mining? I am reading around and as usual, there are mixed reviews on this so I am seeking the collective wisdom at OzBargain.

The Helium site has a usermap, last time i checked there was only 2 people. Both in NSW
It's not a scam.
Needs more local users to be effective. I think they are making it so you can use third party routers, so should bring some people in.
looking back at this, its actually not, people are making $1000 a month and im joining and making some as well
Most people don't want the equivalent of a mobile network running out of their home. I guess if you are alright with it, you should run one.
They are planning to roll out 5G in the future too.
