Need Recommendation for Pest Control in Sydney

We have moved to a our new house(40yrs old property) 3 months ago, we did pre-purchase inspection of the building and there was nothing came out about insects/termites.

Yesterday, one of my mate told that, its better to get pest inspection to avoid cockroaches/spirder etc.

I did some google and really confused with variation in the price from different companies (in Sydney)…

Someone is offering it to be done $100, and some $200 and some $400 ?

Now, I am not able to understand how to decide which company to chose with

1) Price range
2) Chemical used by these guys :— We got a new born baby at home

Could you please suggest a OzBargainer's approach to this?

Cheers

We got a new born baby at home

Personally I would avoid doing pest control due to a new born. Unless you have some infestation problem.

Maybe that's who the Pest Control is for

Gary and Nicole from drop dead pest control

they do heaps of child care centres and their product is safe and non toxic

    • how do you know this info "they do heaps of child care centres and their product is safe and non toxic"? have you used them before?
Is there an extra cost for this type of product?

i have been using them for about 4 years, and Gary is a super friendly guy, he answers all the questions you can ask.

excellent local business owner. just call them and ask

  • If you need termite inspection and pest control, it will be around $400~$500. If you need pest control only, its around $100~$200.
I've used Flick and now im on their monthly plan. Main reason i chose this company was to keep the warranty for physical termite barriers active. You might wanna check if previous owner had termite barrier installed. If there is one, and if you wanna keep the warranty, you would need to contact the installer to carry out the inspection and activate the warranty (which is what ive done).
Anyway, its my second year with them, and i am happy with the result so far. I occasionally see dead roaches, and rarely alive ones.
