Bopo gone bankrupt - claim details

Link: http://www.boporefunds.com.au

If you have reently bought a Bopo pre-paid Visa card, the company has recently gone bankrupt. To reclaim your money, please click on the link and type your details. You will need to get it signed by a qualified witness and send the company the card cut in half.

NOTE: I understand this is not a bargain, deal or freebie and I am not a representative of the company. However, people may have bought Bopo cards from the deals on OzBargain and I found it hard to get to the claim site. My condolences to anyone that recently bought a card.

  • hey Scotty and guys, it is a legitimate post, check the press release from Cuscal, the parent company of Bopo.

    http://www.cuscal.com.au/media-press-releases-BOPOFAQ1508.ht…

    • I know this is a legitimate post Noslee - being someone who has been closing following the Bill Express saga, this was to be expected.

  • I think it's legitimate — however I think it's more of a forum material rather than posting as a deal.

  • In response to the comments here, please be advised that Cuscal is not the parent company of bopo.

The owner of the bopo card product is Bill Express, or to be more specific, the owner is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bill Express Ltd called 'bopo cards (Australia) Pty Ltd'. bopo cards is now being managed by an administrator. Cuscal is the issuer of the prepaid bopo Visa card.

You can read Cuscal's media release at http://www.cuscal.com.au/media-press-releases-BOPOsafe.html

    1. I myself was scammed by these guys. However, I do not blame any members of the site for suspecting me.

    2. I would like to ask any admin to please send this out on the daily email or a special email to ALL members so they are aware of this.

    3. Thank you cmah for supporting me.

I recently bought a card. I'm kinda glad they closed though, because the fees are unheard of. $1 to load, 25c to spend on EFTPOS, 50c to buy online, 28c if your card is declined. It was such a scam. It was useless as well.

Wow. Talking about bringing back an old thread. How can you "recently bought a card" when they have gone bankrupt for more than a year?
