It's pretty hard finding any current pricing for these online as they're a discontinued line, but from what I can find $600 is a good price. There's a used set on eBay for $660 and ex-demos for over $1500(???). Lots of reviews complain the bass performance is very average though.

    • But i thought its all about that bass.

      • no treble

        • But I can shake it, shake it like I'm supposed to do

I do not agree with the abovementioned reviews.
However you can make up your own mind by listening to them in store

I think it all comes down to expectations.. a 7" woofer isn't going to bring you a theatre-like experience, but it will bring noticable bass to what you're viewing / listening to. For a set like this, it's always best to pair with a decent amp and subwoofer (10+") to get the best possible experience.

    • agree

    • I have a pair of VAF DC-X speakers, that look vaguely like these JBL Arena ones.
(The VAFs have the tweeter in-between a pair of woofers. Which are either 7" or 8" woofers)

Anyway, the point is that these VAFs have huge, tight, bass response. I also have a 15" sub, but almost never need to turn it on.

So it's possible to achieve that sort of thing with dual-mid-size woofers. But I don't know if the JBLs do.

    So tempting except they're white…

  • Hi atish, I am quite interested in getting the speakers from you. Can you also recommend a good sub woofer to go with it? Preferably from JBL too?
Roughly how long would it take to ship to QLD? Thank you.

  • Hi mate
Please purchase this online as stock is selling fast.

We can discuss the sub on Sunday if you can call me at the store on Sunday 1300 859 905

  • This is a smoking hot deal. The problem is that my receiver probably doesn't have the juice to drive them. I think I have around 90w per channel.
