You would think it would either work or not. Maybe is a rubbish description.
It might be correct if they are actually ordering multiple versions. However, I would hope that in that case they would let the customer decide which model they wanted. If they don't know what they are ordering that sounds extremely dodgy. Does the lack of Samsung Pay make a difference anyway? In any case there may be other regional variations.
I have one of these, bought in South Africa but appears to be originally be from the UAE. Samsung Pay works perfectly in Australia, except for the occasional ad related to Dubai popping up in the phone app.
Monitoring the Galaxy Watch subreddit, most of the Samsung Pay problems seem to be from people in the US trying to use European/South American watches. Not sure if those would have the same problems here.
There used to be a slightly hacky way of changing the watches 'region' but IIRC Samsung patched/blocked that about a year ago
Just be aware they normally use aramex for these ones and mine got delayed in post by about 2 weeks even though it only came from Melbourne to Sydney
