Everything is "adequate" for the non-demanding user (me!) and the price is right.
Mine came with Android 10 and upgraded itself to Android 11.
I see that it has just been discontinued, so maybe the A53 still under your budget?

Yes, this. With mobile phones it's impossible to simply state what the 'best' one is for you within a given price range without knowing what is important to you personally in a mobile phone. For example, assuming that you don't want 5G (as indicated by your price-range), have a look at the specs of the Nokia 2.3, which currently sells for $99 at Woolworths, and tell me what it doesn't have that you require.
