      Thanks mod.
Please also put a warning on the gift card wiki page
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/discounted_egift_cards

      • Sure, done.

        Thanks

    • Dear Mod,
I’ve used this service for a few years and while I admit they are slow and need emails to hurry them up I have received my gift cards each and every time. There is no other provider which can provide the same discount for coles and woolies 10% and I request this be taken into account and still allow posting of the deals (makes it easier to know when they have 10% specials) with maybe a buyer beware disclaimer for the inexperienced user.

      • There is enough proof that they literally stole people’s money. It’s not a matter of experience or not. Don’t support them. They are criminals.

        • I haven’t seen any proof that they stole peoples money?
If you aren’t using peoples experiences to judge them, what else are you using? In my experience I have placed over 10 orders with them and while their customer service leaves a lot to be desired and wait times, aye its 10% off doesn’t matter too much to me as they always come through in the end and even sometimes compensate me for their delays.

      • Ozbfan
Same situation, I’m buying 10-20k a year through this mob, can be slow but I accept that.
Atm 10% on Woolworths $500 physical cards.
        Says it expires 25/5

        • Thanks for that Bad Wolf. How do you find out about the sales, is there like a newsletter or pattern to the dates or do you just constantly check?

          • @Ozbfan: Someone who posted once here said that their reward program which was also through pegas group, sent out the increased % promos via email.

I’m using via the good guys concierge do no such luck.

I just try to remember to check once a week, promos tend to be around holidays/events
            Chinese New Year, Easter etc

This. The only evidence I keep seeing is people not waiting the required time, or placing orders above the fair use policy which causes it to take longer than normal.

This is why I have placed disclaimers above so people are aware of the long time it takes to receive orders.

Banning the store is a bit much when they are still deals for anyone willing to wait for the card to arrive.

Not these guys again, have been burned so many times but I never learn.

    Good deal though, I guess.

    • How so?

      • +6

When it's 3-4 months after you've paid someone $3000 and you still haven't received anything (including an email or phone call or anything) despite chasing it up multiple times it becomes a nightmare.

In the end the PayPal dispute made them finally ship it out so it's worth it if you're ok with the anxiety.

        • +1

Well $3000 is above the fair use policy of $2000. But yes, agree the timeframes and delayed or non delivery is ridiculous.

          • @Coops1: I did $1.5k at the end of one month and $1.5k at the start of the next so it was within the fair use policy.

            • @Yanoflies: they have changed fup. Its 2k within any 30 day period

              • @Cisco123: So if I exceeded their fair use policy they can take my money?
But to be honest Pegasus has always been like that (I'm talking about last 10 years or so)

                • @Cupa Bundy Drinker: No, fair use policy just says they don't have to meet their delivery times.

But last time I only had one single order open and still hadn't received it after 5 months, so just claimed a refund. That was my never again moment.

        • Wonder if that has anything to do with it exceeding the fair use policy? I've actually only ever ordered low value egift cards but I've never had a problem. I'm expecting this to take a long time based on previous posts though.

        • No need for anxiety. Be willing to go to Fair Trading and they pay up every time. Always works.

    • +2

The frustration that you have to go through to get your cards after a few months wait is not worth the savings. Believe me. I stopped dealing with this lot of monkeys a year ago.

  • +2

I got a paypal refund after waiting 3 months for cards

  • +5

    Not gonna risking my money

  • +4

    No

  • They basically stopped sending out cards during pandemic if you purchased at 10% off.

I wonder if things are back to normal now; and by normal I mean they would eventually give you the cards in 2/3 months time.

    • Here's hoping, only bought 1 though because I don't want to risk much more. Actually was waiting for digital cards to be back in stock and then I saw this promo.

  • +4

Not this shit again. Had to chase them up non stop + wait several months.

  • I have The Good guys concierge. How to get Pegasus membership?

  • +3

If you order from them and you want the gift cards you will need to let them know that you are going to Fair Trading once it gets past the promised delivery times, which it will. Much better than struggling for a refund which makes you worse off. It is the only thing they are scared of. Works every time. Make sure you document it all by email.

  • +7

Anyone who want to buy from them, please read my forum post first
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/578179
The seller should be banned from OZB permanently.
All they want is to keep your cash to improve their cash flow without sending out the actual gift card

    • Wow what a shady mob. Everyone should steer clear of this deal. Mods should consider taking this post down so others don't get scammed.

    • 100% agree they should be banned. I wouldn’t buy from them again even if they were offering half price gift cards. They just steal your money until you remember to hassle them.

  • +4

I have always maxed out the 10% offers for these and Wish cards and always get my cards. It DOES require follow up.

During my first follow up process, I ended up with the email address of one of the customer reps, so now, when I get to the delivery date, I forward her my order and ask to follow up. I always get asked in a reply email if I am happy with electronic vouchers and after about 2 days, I will get emailed my 2k worth. I try and time purchases on my CC cycle so that I don't really pay before I get them. I feel that the wait and two emails for a $200 saving on groceries that we will buy anyway is worth it. You have to decide if it is worth it for you.

I have done this probably 8 or 10 times in the 18months since we bought a $20 mixer at Good Guys just to get Concierge. So around $2000 saved on gift cards and I normally buy a bottle of laundry liquid 3 times a year with the $20 credit and a 10% off 'Home' gift card for the balance. For me it is a win overall, but, its not for everyone.

I just ordered my 2k worth and the delivery date says 17 June which is not 28 business days but I have 5 weeks till my next card payment, so I can wear that.

    • Did you wait for 2 months before you follow up with order status?

      • Yes. I wait until the delivery date stated on the order. I have put a calendar reminder in to send the email.

  • +2

    Don't do it.

  • I ordered at 5% 1kw worth and forgot about it. Than i sent email that i am going to fair trading and they sent cards in 2days and $50 direct deposit into my account for the hassle eventually making it 10%. Not bad.

  • +1

I wouldn't go small not worth the time chasing and I wouldn't go big too much risk !
Yeah I use to go 2K's but no longer .
Biggest Dog company on OZB .

  • +2

Done it twice. It's a sht. Pegasus group are scumbags that hope you'll forget to chase them. Then they pull excuses. It's a sick joke that they're still in business

  • Tried it last time they had 10% off woolies . Did the follow up call and sure enough 2 days later for got the vouchers emailed. Might still be waiting if I hadn’t of called…

  • +2

So it's clearly illegal selling practices. How do we get them banned?

  • +2

They should be banned. Ordered few times, always have to chase it up for few weeks after their 28 business days for order dispatch. Everytime got eGift Cards in the end. If they got stock, it shouldn’t take 28 business days to dispatch, and if they don’t have them in stock, its no deal.
Last time, had to involve Fair Trading to get the money back(under Concierge Rewards Offer Guarantee) as The Good Guys/Concierge Team gave up dealing with Pegasus Group, they were blaming each other for delays.

  • This is bordeline scam. Waited 3 months last time after constant excuses for cards being late. Got a refund in the end after contacting Consumer Affairs. I think they count on a certain number of people forgetting about their order.
Don't give your money to these c#nts unless you want weeks or months of headaches! You have been warned….

Link to some reviews on Google…echoes what others have been saying.

  • They need to be banned, plenty of evidence of shady practice.

  • I had a GG Commercial membership and purchased some gift cards, which are managed by this group, I believe.
After many weeks of no gift cards turning up, I had to email and remind them about it. No response.
Ended up doing a dispute via paypal, which I had used for payment as advised by various helpful posts on OzB.
I did end up getting my money back, but let this post be a warning to those who still might wanna try it.

  • +3

Thanks to all those who lodged a report to the Mods. They have now banned all future posts from these scammers. People power!

  • I think their business model is to delay sending the GC deliberately & in turn use customer money to fund their business. There is no reason/excuse why it takes 28 business days to send the GC.

  • +5

Customer service rep email contact: <[email protected]>

  • buyer beware never got any physical coles group cards after 3 months they only have e coles cards . just lies avoid. best buying coles group cards when amex and other banks like cba, wbc etc have reward offers for over 20% cash back.

    • +1

What 20% cash back are you talking about, I'm failing to find 20% cashback deals on coles gift cards.

      • -1

fyi ref https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/614819 if you have the cba offer just buy a coles group gift card at myer and get $20 credited to your account that works out to be 20% off. much better then dealing with Pegasus Group lies as they dont stock coles group gift cards.

        • +1

But you can't buy $2000 of them every 3 months. Hence why we are speculating knowing the risk.

        • Thanks, forgot you can buy gift cards at Myer. The low amount kills it though.

  • +1

It took me 9 weeks, a PayPal dispute, and several calls to the good guys team to finally get a refund.

    • +1

I feel like this should be a neg not an upvote.
