ALDI Soundbar or Kmart Soundbar?

For $39 I would go with Kmart. You can also check FB marketplace for better sound bars for around $100 - $150

    • Go the Facebook or gumtree route at $100. Should be able to get something better than both.

    Neither?

      this

    • Struggling to think where one of these wouldn't be a total waste of money… might be an upgrade from a $100 or $200 TV's built-in sound, maybe…?

Yeah forgot to add on for my $400 TV so not looking for a high end sound system, just want to see peoples experiences on them. But thanks for a neither response I shall look around for another :)

        • I think the people saying "neither" are assuming you have a similar TV to their own - many people own at least one big fancy TV these days. These el cheapo soundbars will not usually have better sound quality than these TVs, so there's no point getting them.

If your TV has awful sound and/or it's not loud enough to hear, a super cheap soundbar actually might help.

  • Probably find something on Amazon that's better bang for your buck.

  • If you want to connect via optical or coax Kmart. I doubt you will get better for $40.

If you want Arc via HDMI, Aldi.

Yes, you can get better for more money, but that requires spending more money.

  • I have the Kmart one. It’s pretty decent for $39 (when I bought mine in store it scanned as $29 btw so YMMV) only problem I have with it every time it turns off the volume always goes back to the Lowest volume setting also the max volume doesn’t really sound loud. I’d give it a 4/10 on sound quality but you can’t expect much at $39.

  • Aldi have a 60 day return policy with no questions asked.
But cheap soundbar often sound cheap

  • would do some more research and get something that isn't garbage even if that means raising budget.

    Saw the Aldi one today.
    No subwoofer.
Also product review only had 3 stars :(

  • Pickup a used yas108, they range from $100-150.

  • Go the Kmart, a lot of people obsess over sound because it's what they have not because it's the best.

You'll likely be able to tune the kmart system a little to get it sounding nice.

  • Better off upgrading your tv
