  I have one and love it. I paid about $550 from amazon. Just replaced the filters after a year. The HEPA was pretty brown even though I put a new pet filter on every month.
  A replacement filter set costs $152 delivered or $196 with the 12 pet filters from https://www.ausclimate.com.au/products/air-purifiers/replace… or $120/$160 from costco online (membership required). I haven't found anywhere else to source the filters from so far even though I've spent time searching. I put aside $3.50 each week for a full price filter replacement each year.

    I bought one as it seems to be the best amongst the purifiers out there.
    We got it for our 9 month old daughter my wife and I work in health and we just don't know what pathogens are in the environments we are in.

      There will be a light that lights up and maybe a tone that tells you it is time to change. The one posted requires you to press the reset switch with a paper clip after changing the filter.

  How loud is this in real world use? Is it noticeable to sleep with?

    It has a light sensor which puts it in sleep mode. LEDs turn off and fan goes into low mode. You can override that and put it in whatever speed you want, LEDs on or off.
