My Lenovo Laptop from Amazon (via US) Is Faulty - Any Local Similar Alternatives?

I puchased the Lenovo Flex 5 for around $870 back in Jan from this deal, and unfortunately it appears to have a faulty screen (whenever I close and reopen lid, half the screen is bright, while the other half is not). It's a shame because otherwise than that, it's a brilliant laptop with an excellent battery life.

So I'll obviously be returning it back to the USA… In the meantime, I can't really wait for another unit to come from America (as it is, this model is currently unavailable, so they can't send a replacement.)

Are there any current local deals that would be similarly priced and spec'd to this Lenovo?

14.0" FHD (1920 x 1080) Touch Display.
AMD Ryzen 5 4500U Processor
16GB DDR4
256GB SSD
AMD Radeon Graphics.

Thanks very much in advance!

You bought from overseas with overseas warranty… Would you not agree that paying more for local product with local warranty is more likely, and definitely worthwhile after your experience?

    • Question doesn't really have anything to do with the warranty nor it being a problem. I doubt Lenovo Australia could source one if the US wasn't able to.

      • You failed to read my post properly. My point is that OP wants to pay the same amount for an equivalent product, bought locally with warranty.

If they want that, they'll need to accept that they need to pony up more cash.
