  • nice… love history…

    • It is for cricket fans…

  • genghis? not sure why they ended up with this spelling. but the accurate spelling is CHINGHIS. so take this book with a grain of salt, starting from the very title name.

That depends on who you ask and in which language I suppose.
In German his name is Dschinghis Khan (also the name of a German band who won Eurovision by the way: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dschinghis_Khan)
Here is the Wikipedia link; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genghis_Khan which has the same spelling as the book.

so would you pronounce like chinghis?

      • Moscow was a fantastic song.

    • It is quite amusing. Being married to an actual Mongol an being able to speak Mongolian myself, I used to find it funny that white guys, like myself were telling us that it is not "Chingis" and we were saying the name wrong.
Similarly, they would tell us we are saying "Gobi" wrong. Best to say it sounds like gove (as in cove). But that's an international world and all good.

That is the main link (the one with the pic) which is why I did not duplicate that in the description.

      • Sorry my bad. Thanks again for the freebies

the chinghis one is missing one important detail, as you can expect from such a short book. what really triggered mongol conquest of china was chinese emperor himself who insulted the khan by cuting off the ears of his trade missionary men. looking at today, it is obvious that people don't learn the lessons of history.
