    Postage appears to be 6.26AUD.
Using Amazon Currency Converter, 40.10AUD + 6.26 AUD = total of 46.36AUD. Decent price.

    • Best to go with Expedited International Shipping (averages 8-16 business days) otherwise expedited postage is real pricy.

      • So… you mean its best to go with the pricy option?

        • oops, my bad… go with the cheaper one of the two :+)

Using visa card to pay in USD will be few cents cheaper
      ex:
      anz visa(3% foreign transaction fee)
      0.992692(39.99+6.23)=45.89 AUD
      NAB visa(2.5% foreign transaction fee)
      0.987873
      (39.99+6.23)=45.66 AUD

  • how is this brand compared to SanDisk or Kingston?

    • I'm using one in my phone right now - decent. A friend recommended Lexar, suggesting that their failure rates were better than Sandisk's.

Anyway, as far as specs go, you might want to check out this thread on WP, with several CDM benchmarks.

Near as makes no difference. They all use the same plants in Taiwan.

It's called "Badge Marketing". The Class rating is rather meaningless as well, as no-name brands rated at Class 10 will perform at Class 2 speeds where as SanDisk, Kingston, Panasonic will usually guarantee their labelled transfer rates.

  • Nice! Heck, its cheaper than all the normal speed MicroSD cards.

Note: Amazon's conversion rates suck, at the moment the AUD amount on Amazon is higher than the USD amount when it should actually be under - if you have the 28 Degrees MC then use that instead.

  • Thanks Op just bought one for my prime came to $46

  • link has ref?

    • sorry, I'll have just fixed that.
see what happens when you cut and paste without checking, all good now…

  • Thanks, just purchased one.
$46.36aud as posted above. Priority is about $30 shipping lol.

  • Thank you! Been waiting for a cheap MicroSD card for awhile now, after getting screwed over by ewareshop.

  • Bought two of these before Christmas from Amazon. Got them working in incar video recorders. Both working great :)

  • Just ordered. Now we hope it writes at 10mb/s as advertised!

    • If they are legit (which they should be), it would write at 10mb/s. Mine that I got from ozgameshop works fine :)

  • Ordered :)

As toomuchdogfur said, Amazons exchange rate sucks. Those with the 28 Degrees card should pay in USD.

Was tempted and then I saw all the reports of failed cards in the reviews and decided against it, far too many of them complained about failure after about four months.

  • See product site here: http://www.lexar.com/products/lexar-high-performance-mobile-…

The Amazon listing is for current product sold via Lexar website.

  • Sorry to rumble your thread holdenmg, because this is a really good price for the Lexar (best I've seen certainly), but if you don't really need the class 10 speed and are as put off by some of the poor Amazon reviews as I was a while back, ozbargainers may like to see my posts towards the end of http://ozbargain.com.au/node/61759 from a couple of days ago. Good to see microsd prices coming down.

Sandisk 32gb class 4, approx. $36.69 delivered. Sold an shipped by Amazon.

    • But it's class ten? Ten is better than four, right? I mean, the number is higher.

  • n00b question here…. is this what I would use in my Galaxy 2?

  • n00b question here…. is this what I would use in my Galaxy 2?

    • If recording hi-def video on your phone is a priority for you, class 10 will give you a smoother result. If you are going to be running apps from your sd card (especially games), the better 4k random read/write speeds of lower speed cards - especially the Sandisk above - is the go.

      • +3

high-def SGS2 video records perfect on a class 4. The bandwidth required is around 2.1MB/s (17Mbps at 1080p30), so a class 10 won't make any difference.

Copying large files (e.g. movies) is probably where you'll see the biggest difference with a class 10.

    • and to answer your questions

Yes, the S2 uses MicroSd cards

      http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9100_galaxy_s_ii-3621.php

    • But that seller won't play ball and ship the 16GB to Australia.
We are not able to ship this item to your default shipping address.

The 32GB ships direct from Amazon Global :+)

  • Good price

  • Anyone tried this in a Canon to video record?

  • Great price. Paid $57 odd few months ago from the UK. Running great in my Galaxy S2. No problem with apps as the S2 has heaps of internal storage space. Mainly use it to play high def videos/mp3s.

Might get another for my Galaxy Tab, although I'm tempted to wait for 64gb cards to come down in price.

Perhaps I'm showing my age, but on first glancing the thumbnail I thought for brief moment I was seeing revival of the handheld scanner :)

    • obviously if you put the scanner into a microwave it will shrink down to a reader… :+)

  • do you reckon this would enhance running a application from the phone, got a samsung wave and it uses a microsd

    • I have bought this card from PCDIY a few months back. I have noticed a significant speed gain when I fast forward the movie and when I jumped around the time bar.

  • It would be great if the card reader is USB3.

    • +1

why? The card doesn't exceed USB2 speeds.

    • it reads 10mb/s so wouldnt that be a bottleneck for usb3 speeds?

      • +1

I assume you mean USB2. 10MB/s is no problem for USB2. 30MB/s is easy for USB2 - that's typical for external usb2 hard drives.

  • +2

if anyone is interested in speed tests of this card (I got the same one from Amazon)

  • Nice just tracked the item and its at my local post office. I will go down and get it later. Thanks OP.

    • No worries.
Mine has left Carlstadt NJ but I haven't got a postcard from it.
I have an ETA of 06/02/12 but it might get here earlier if there is a tailwind or something.

  • Got mine in the mail today.

Did a quick test with H2testw & got the following results:

    Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
    Writing speed: 9.74 MByte/s

  • I just tested my card and the results are-

Warning: Only 30522 of 30523 MByte tested.
    Test finished without errors.
