Best place to buy laptops?

  do a few search of previous deals, lots of discussion around

  seat budget, usage and look around. dell deals come around all the time.

  There's no one answer for this.
  1. You need to figure out what you want to use the laptop for and how much you're willing to spend.
  2. From there you can narrow down the specs and features you want that fit in the budget.
  3. You can then start looking for specific models that have the spec and features and note down any that fit the requirements well.
  4. Hunt around a bit for the best price for the specific model(s) by looking at various store and/or on ozbargain

  My go to is always Dell Outlet. Anything else only if they have a good deal, e.g. Lenovo blablabla
  Physical stores rarely have a good discount. I go to JB/OW/HN only to see the actual laptop if the same model is available.

  I'd go to JB Hifi and Harvery Norman and see the laptop in the flesh. Plenty of cheap laptops have decent components now but not all are built well or you like when you get it in your hand. Unless you have a specific purpose for you laptop like gaming/rendering where you need the fastest components, internals aren't always the thing you should be concentrating on.

  Things like screen (size/contrast/viewing angles/brightness/touch), build quality (Weight/materials/keyboard) and features (USB ports /2 in 1/speakers)

  Then see if they can price match or find a deal of the one you like online.

  Having said all that a couple of laptops i've narrowed down my choice to are the Dell XPS which is a go to for most of the top 3 lists for laptops and the other one i've had my eye on is the Lenovo 9i. Neither of those are the fastest or greatest gaming, but have great build quality, screens and battery life. The 9i has built in soundbar and pen.

  I only buy el cheapo laptops

  Previously, I have bought cheap HP laptops from Australia Post.

  Currently, HN has cheap Acer and Lenova laptops.
