    Shimano 7-speed gearing

    The eBay listing says 6 speed, both in title and specs. I think you quoted the specs for new model, but eBay listing is clearing the old model.

    Also has a gripshift. Kogan has a better Shimano rapidfire type shifter.

    By the time you allow for mudguards and rack (very useful on a commuter!) there is not much weight difference.
    I'd choose the Kogan even if they were the same price.

      Yeah, I've never been a fan of the grip shift.

      And yes, the Kogan rack is solid steel, I'm sure it would weigh 1ish kg anyway.

      I copied the wrong page, thank you for pointing out, the description is now updated.

      I think the 12kg weight has included a pair of mudguards, judging by the photos the review shows. So there is that.
