Which 0% Balance Transfer Credit Card Offer to Get?

Hi All,

Looking to transfer my credit card balance and there's a bunch of offers out there, not sure which one would be best?
= I'm looking for a card which has a low annual fee (below $59)
= I should be able to pay off the balance within 24 months.
= Not eligible for Westpac Low Rate Card (what I currently have)

  1. Bendigo Bank - 0% p.a. on balance transfers for 24 months - 2% Balance Transfer fee. Annual Fee of $45/year
  2. St. George - 0% p.a. on balance transfers for 28 months - No Balance Transfer fee. Annual Fee of $55/year
  3. ANZ Bank - 0% p.a. on balance transfers for 20 months. - No Balance Transfer fee. Annual Fee of $58/year (after 12 months)
  4. NAB Bank - 0% p.a. on balance transfers for 26 months. - 2% Balance Transfer fee. Annual Fee of $59/year (after 12 months)

Would the ANZ one be the best here? Or one of the others? Any reason why ANZ wouldn't be the way to go?

Please advise thanks.

  • Wouldn't you also need to factor in the balance amount you are transferring and your ideal repayment schedule? Only you know that info.

    • Yeah it looks like I'll go with ANZ

Purely based on what you've posted, go ANZ and pay it off in 12 months. You don't end up paying any interest or fees.

  • ……….and how much they are willing to accept as the transfer?

    • I'd have about $300 left on the Westpac after which i'd be paying off within 2 months
