got mine through there worked a treat even passed through audio

  • ebay. if you can wait a couple of weeks, sometimes more.

  • yeah I got mine off eBay. When doing searches make sure you change the "sort by" to "Price + Postage: lowest first" and make sure on the left panel you click Worldwide, under the location panel.

You should be able to find them for about $6. There small but you don't need them large as you connect your DVI/HDMI/VGA or whatever you using to it to make it as long as you like.

If you want more information on the quality of items, you can use dealextreme.com each item has reviews.

If you want a quality cable expect to pay $30 from your local retailer.

If I read correctly I'm not sure why you need DisplayPort to DisplayPort cables or miniDisplayPort to DisplayPort cables. You don't need extension cables. Just tell us what your looking for VGA/DVI/HDMI/ect and we can further help you if you need it.

I got my cable from eBay for $6 it was Mini Display Port to DVI, the 1 meter DVI cable that come with my monitor plugs straight into the miniDP converter and there you have it a 1.1m cable. Not the one I got on ebay gets loose, after all it only cost me $6 so you might want to look for something a little more quality.

  • Well, My monitors support VGA, dvi and display port, not wanting to use the VGA ports. I've already got all the DVI ports populated, and am thinking of using the display port cables to connect to another computer so that I don't have to unplug/plug DVI cables all the time.

I'm not familiar with displayport workings, I would think that either it should be displayport(male) to displayport(male) to connect the monitor to a laptop docking station, or it should be displayport(male) to a minidisplayport(male) ?

One more curiousity, can you daisy chain a displayport?
