Pulled the trigger on Amazon literally the day before they got more stock in a couple of days ago. Consoling myself that it comes ~290 after cashback and that it'll arrive much quicker without worry. HK post tracking is terrible and didn't know whether imy Orient was going to come.

I'm staying with Amazon too. I'll cop the slightly higher price for the support, speed and service that Amazon offers.

    • FYI OOS at DFI

Love Orient automatic watches and even like Sun & Moon, just something about this dial that makes it a bit too busy for my tastes.

Each of the elements on their own is nice, but just somehow doesn't seem to blend well when you stick them all on the same dial.

    • Yep this looks like a sandwich made by a blind man and I like Orient.

  • i like the watch personally - would prob get it at a lower price point!

  • Have a + for the effort.
    Not my cuppa tea though.

    • Thank you kind sir!

  • which one look nicer? black dial or blue dial?

  • Wondering why the product code is FAK00005D0….

  • I think the watch is cool but really dislike when they cut off the Roman numeral. Even IWC do that. Probably one of the most annoying thing when buying a chronograph. I'd rather they just not put the number there

Something to keep in mind if you're considering the V2 over the V3 is that the movement had a major upgrade in V3.

They changed the movement to calibre F6B24 which includes hand winding, hacking and quick date set, which are all missing from the previous models.

  • Way too much going on with that dial

I personally own the egg shell dial and gold case version of this watch and I sit and admire it every time I put it on. The level of detail on the dial is truly amazing with the textured dial face, stunningly detailed sun and moon indicators, raised roman numerals, the cut out date window and indented day indicator give it tremendous depth as well and the slightly domed sapphire glass tops it off. Also the engraved crown and clasp shows a lot of detail went into this watch. The online images of it really don't do it justice.

For me this watch ticked all the boxes. As well as being a great looking watch, it has a very good in house movement from Orient with hand winding, hacking, quick date set and 40 hour reserve.

This watch has some real old world charm with the classical styling of it and is what drew me to picking the gold and egg shell version of it.

    • i think it’s a great looking watch in egg shell, i seem to either buy clean designed divers or old world charm , i’m even looking at zeppelin watches now a days …..

  • Brown Version does it for me but unfortunately a bit too expensive for me .
