(Older) ActronAir Controller Upgrade for Google Home

Guys,

I'm trying to see if I can upgrade an older multi-zone ActronAir Multi-zone ducted air con to be controlled from Google Home/Assistant?

The system is an SRA22C installed about 2005 with AM7 controllers.

I had a chat with ActronAir and they said I should check if any of the US AirCon controllers are compatible as some customers had success with controllers like Honeywell Wifi 9000 or Zen Thermostat but I can't figure out if they are compatible or not.

This is a photo of the back of one of the wall controllers:

Anyone can help?

Thanks,
Corneliu.

  • I also have the LM7 controller and have not been able to successfully find a solution for wifi control without purchasing actron's expensive controller. There is only one proprietary 'control' cable so most other 3rd party controllers don't know how to interface. Most controllers use a infrared detector to control the system but the actron panel doesn't have a remote. Other controllers rely on the system being a dumb system with an on and off for heating and cooling connected to a thermostat, unfortunately the actron has been engineered to be difficult.

  • did you ever find a fix for this mate?
