Amazon's Gold Box deal of the day is the Transformers Trilogy boxset, featuring all 3 of Michael Bay's movies. Despite Bay's best attempts at ruining the franchise, these are excellent demo discs to give your home theatre setup a real workout.

Price is $AUD 35.64 delivered (using Amazon's currency converter). This is $USD 10 lower than the previous lowest price.

All the Blu-ray discs should be region-free.

This Gold Box deal ends in 4 hours, or until stock runs out.

    Region A or Free?

Edit: these are region a, so you'll need a region free bluray player..

If it's a return with the second movie missing/damaged I'd get it. Sucky movie. (yes I know some people hate all of them, but 2 was especially bad)

IMHO 3 was the worst, straight out of the current Hollywood cookie-cutter & just plain dumb!

      • I watched Transformer 2 long after it was release on DVD/BD because it was, at the time, the most stupid:budget ratio movie of all time. Beating even Dracula 3000 and Ecks vs Sever.

I have yet to submit my intellect to the pounding T3 will give it.

        • Oh yeah, it took years to clear the stain that T3 left on my tortured soul. I would heartily recommend copious quantities of both alcohol AND valium (or another benzo) before you attempt that self-flagellation tantryl.

I don't know anyone who watches the Transformers movie for the plot, story or character depth. Just seeing Optimus prime tear the decepticons apart in IMAX 3D is worth watching the movie for. THe action is mind-numbing enough to take my mind off the gaping plotholes and absurd scenarios( Megatron listening to the chick at the end and going after Sentinel Prime is one example)

I'm pretty impressed by people that can not only turn their conscious brain off but their sub-conscious. Your sub-conscious knows when things are stupid, even if you're not examining it closely. I have to admit, I lack the skill to turn both off.

        • Yeah, but the action is boring too. Half the time, you can't even see what's happening, it's just close-ups of pieces of metal smashing against each other.

  • fallen footwear logo anyone?

  • If you want an our-region version, amazon.co.uk has it for ~$42.50 delivered.

  • Good deal, very likely region free as all individual movies are Region Free in America. The trilogy boxset is new so noone has yet fed back on the region information.

hmmm… are you sure its $35? It says its $39.62 Aud and with shipping its around $45.

It's coming out as $45.54 AUD for me too. Perhaps the price has gone up.

It was a 4 hour sale so price reverted back to usual. Now the Uk version is cheaper @ ~$42 delivered

        • Yeah, the deal expired, as stated in the deal description, around 4 hours after posting.

  • Atleast they ruin the classic animated movie!
