Nike.com.au Birthday Voucher Query

Hi all.
I've just joined nike.com.au yesterday as I intend to buy something from their site. However, it's my birthday this month (the 24th)
I was wondering if:
a) I'll be sent a voucher, given my birthday is so close to joining date;
b) When the voucher gets sent - the start of the birthday month, or some other time?
c) The actual nature of the voucher - is there a minimum spend etc.?

Thanks in advance.

  • Last year I received mine at the end of the preceding month so i'd assume you would miss out.

I joined in my birthday month in 2019… no voucher
Got mine in 2020 at end of month prior same as you.

I think OP is SOL in regards to expecting a voucher this year

Just sign up using a different email and change your birthdate. It’s not like they’re asking for ID

    • I’ve done this as I’m near the end of a month. It depends how the voucher expires or is given to you.

If it’s given to you on the 1st of the month and is valid for that entire calendar month, and the staff check ID, then you may be out of luck.

If it’s given to you on or near your bday and is valid for x days, then as long as you go in within x days of your bday, then even if they ask for ID you’ll be fine because they just care that the voucher works and the bday is nearby.

Also, I’ve found that offering your ID is enough for most staff members to say “don’t worry”.

      • What? Op wants to buy something from Nike website

        • Whoops, missed over that bit! Still, generally useful info for those opting to redeem birthday vouchers in stores.

So I thought I'd contact Nike support via the chat. Asked my question, and they gave me a one-off 10% discount code. Can't complain about that!

Don’t forget cash rewards often have 20-30% cash back

      • Too late, already did my purchase. Will keep it in mind for next time though, I presume a birthday code won't stack with cashback, but 20% cashback is still better than a discount code is likely to be.
