JB Hi-Fi TV on order for 3 weeks - any hope of price matching?

Guys,

Purchased from jbhifi a samsung led 60" and a samsung wireless 7.1 speaker system.

Since i put on order (paid in full) price has dropped from 4k total to around 3k. Wondering if cancelling order or asking if they can match the price as waited 3 weeks for goods and can be had now for around 3k.

Was originally told would be in stock within 1 week only issue i thibk i might have is i paid in full…

    I assume that since they are yet to supply you the good, you are entitled to ask for a refund (contract is not yet complete). You could then ask for a price match or go buy the goods elsewhere.

    • Agreed, and if you wanted to be conciliatory teros I would think the absolute least you could expect is the price difference refunded if you did go ahead with the JB purchase. I would accept no less!

    I don't see why they wouldn't refund the difference. If they refuse, cancel your order, get a full refund and drive to another JB and order it again at the new price.

  • I'm sure that they will drop the price. Did you buy it online or in store.
    Most stores I have 'backordered' stuff said they would drop the price if the price dropped before the item arrived.
    Also they may say they will refund you the difference with JB HiFi credit .

  • JB HiFi store credit would be acceptable, surely nearly $1k would come be well spent(you were commited to spending it in the first place, so get the enjoyment of buying something else)

    Whats the outcome of this anyways?

    • When I got store credit form JB they put it on a gift card - which had a 12 month expiry.

  • Any further updates on what's happened to your TV?
