  • I'm not getting the listed price show up. Am I missing anything?
    EDIT: price is fixed now

  • Seems to be a good deal. Youtubers say it usually goes for around USD$20. A few good reviews online.

    • I bought a boom mic and everything. Might pick up one of these to try so I don’t have a big mic in my face all the time.

  • good lav mic, sounds great with a niiice long cord. can't go wrong at that price!

  • CRAZY long cable, but otherwise a terrific mic for the price.

  • This lav has a long cord. The only problem I find is that when you use it directly with camera it needs battery and using it with smartphone you don't.

  • Got one branded neewer, similar design, just rebranding, i believe… audio recording sound is very low… not sure if i dont understand how to use it, or mine one is defective… long wire is also trouble some

  • +2

TLDR - don't expect to plug this into your phone and record amazing audio - it varies between device.

I used this mic on a bunch of smartphones (Z1 Compact, Galaxy S3, Sharp C10, LG G6) and the quality wasn't good, and it's not the fault of the Boya microphone. It seem highly dependent on the device you're recording it to. Z1 Compact was best among the worst.

I have a Pixel 4a and the mic is amazing on that. I recently tested the mic on a Galaxy S20 and it's pretty good to the point you wouldn't need one of these Boya mics.

On my PC, the Boya mic quality was amazing for the money.

  • now im mad i paid an extra $1.6 for this mic recently….

    • Yep, well worth getting mad about

      • +1

yeah im terrible with this sort of thing

  • Very fast delivery from Amazon. But quality doesnt seem as good as my neewer boom mic, its very 'warm' sounding? Better than built in mics and alright for the price.

  • price already back to $22.99

    • Already? It was a WEEK ago.

      • deal says expire on the 18th. Last time I checked, today is 17th
