I think the subjective term "fresh" should matter just as much.

mate, with this weather, even the freshest bananas and avocados will ripe in 12 hours!

$..9.99 for fruits. Sounds to me like a ripoff.

    • How?

      • +4

if they don't say what proportion of fruit you're gonna get people are gonna think its a lucky dip

how would you feel if you got say 5kg of 69c bananas?

        • +1

LOL if they send you 10kg potatoes.

          Or worse:

"Wtf? Two pumpkins! Damn, I've been rolled."

  • Hi there - having received fruit and vegetables as a customer - the selection is superb. For example, I received Mangoes, Grapes, bananas (just green so they lasted 4 days, mangoes, oranges, pears, apples, avocado, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, watermelon, potatoes, carrots, capsicums, zucchini and a few other things… great variation and good quantities. 12kg allows for a good range of product…. and it's delivered to your door.

  • You will definitely not receive 10kg of potatoes or 5kg of bananas!

      i don't doubt it

however you guys need to take a look at how the butchers work

they say you get 5kg of sirloin, 4kg of chicken breast, 3kg of rump steak etc.

this is how it should be done so people can make up their own minds how much value you get versus anyone else

anything else is going too much on trust and that's like trusting ourdeal or cotd or any number of these online coupon places…

I have to agree, transparency of how much product you will receive will make the offer better.

  • 39.99/12 =3.3325. The most items listed on the website have a price lower than $3.3325/kg in the fruit market (not woolies or coles) at the moment. The attractive point is delivery to your door ;).

    • Mind you, the normal price is $80.

      • which makes it $6.67 per kg average, maybe ok for grapes and mangoes etc but bananas are much cheaper even Coles/Woolies have them for like $1.50/kg! you are definitely paying for the convenience of home delivery

  • I think if you are considering this deal then check out aussiefarmers.com.au where you will have a better idea what you are getting for your money.
I believe this is probably comparable for $36 http://www.aussiefarmers.com.au//lib/newsletters/FV/NSW/NSW_…

  • Not sure which of their boxes they are saying is normally 80 bucks. Closest I could find on

was the "Family Fruit Veg pack" for $79.99, that gives you 20kg - whereas this gives you 12kg

If it was this one it might be worth considering.

They are selling the 12KG pack for $39.99 on their website, so why would anyone want to buy through this deal?

If you call them, as they ask on the website, they will customize the selection anyway.
