  • I could be wrong - and I'm happy to be corrected, but I don't think there is any Canadian water in the Molson we get here - pretty sure it's brewed locally…

    • Yes, I would like to know if this is brewed under licence here?

        Country Of Origin
        Canada

        Country Bottled In
        Canada

It doesnt mean its not a shitty beer that is suddenly accepted here because its 'imported'.

As a Canadian, Molson Canadian is (profanity) shit beer.

    • Hahahahaha

    • lol, I was just about to buy it as well. =(

    • Is it the Fosters of Canada?

More the VB or tooheys. It’s actually really common there but tastes like garbage.

I lived there for 6 years, Canada has such amazing beer and you can’t get any of it here. Most trips there I bring beer back instead of spirits from duty free (despite the small limit)

        • Try Boozebud!

Although $26.99 for one bottle of Amnesiac…I think I paid $7-$8 for one over there, it sure kept me warm at night though.

          • @DoctorArd: Sadly not available, there used to be a few suppliers for Canadian beer to Australia but it feels like they’ve all vanished :(

I don't think Molson Canadian is too bad. You got me curious and I discovered that for many years Budweiser has been the best selling beer in Canada (see here https://vinepair.com/features/external/beer-world-map-3000-f… for a map but I don't know how up-to-date it is). Having said that, I think Canada has a pretty good craft beer scene.

Did John candy drink it? If so that’s good enough for me

      • +1

ummm (sadly) John Candy died quite a few years ago.
But I'd be willing to bet he'd had his share of Molson Canadian beer.
And I hope he enjoyed them immensely.

Yeah i know, he was a great actor his name popped in my mind as a famous Canadian

          • @Chicken Kyiv: Yes, he was a funny guy… a bit on the corny' side occasionally. Certainly well remembered by Canadians as a favourite son.

Tried a few days ago, very refreshing and i'd probably knock a few down easy on a summer day.

BTW, they are imported by Coca-Cola Amatil.

  • It's a Session beer,
Think of it as Canadian Furphy

Molsen Muscle - a common Canadian expression for a beer belly.
