Note for Xbox owners, the physical Xbox one copy cannot be upgraded to the series X version, it's only available for digital copies as Activision did not want to use smart delivery so they can milk their customers of more money..
Ps4 physical edition can be upgraded to ps5 for around ~$13 through a cross gen deluxe upgrade purchase.

Is that possible? When they announced the new version upgrades from physical copies was not supported. The following link still says only digital copies can be upgraded for Xbox

Yer but if I'm going to play it I can't knowing there's a better version. Time is scares would like my time filled with quality where possible.
It’s not like it’s bad. You’re getting 1440p at 60fps on a Series X. Sure the re-release will be better, but the current version isn’t bad.

Good call. You actually can't upgrade to the XSX version at all, unless yours is a digital copy.
