    I think these are fine for the occasional formal/semi formal event. Not everyone has the money for several hundred dollar shoes, even if it is a sound choice to make long term.

      Completely agree. If you can afford higher quality alternatives, they'll be a better long term purchase. But for the occasional event, these will do fine.
