My experience with Booktopia has always been great, with fast shipping and well-packaged items ensuring good protection. Yes, there have been times when items have been out-of-stock but they have done their best to keep me updated. I always order from them unless someone else is substantially cheaper.
I'm 100% certain that you can cancel if need be, particularly if the date has slipped several times (not their fault, it's the supplier). You can always argue that it was a present and has missed the cutoff date.

My experience with booktopia has been mixed.
on one hand, I ordered some manga from them, the 2 books they had in stock got deliver perfectly. They’re packaged exceptionally unlike Amazon where every book I’ve ordered has come damaged….
But The other 2 books of my order were not in stock but scheduled for March. They keep getting pushed back by a month at a time, now to mid June… it feels like they are they not prioritising my order or keeping me informed on my order. Anyone know if I can cancel?
I’d recommend only ordering stuff that is guaranteed in stock…
