Oneplus 8 Pro (8GB, 128GB, IN2020 CN) - AU $689.23 + Shipping @ Buybuybox

110

Big drop. This phone was $740 yesterday. Maybe clearing stock with oneplus 9 series now out? Just beware this is Chinese model with global rom IN2020. It's missing band 28 which isn't a huge problem if you're not travelling regionally. It's also dual sim.

      The site is not secure!

DO NOT INPUT ANY DETAILS ONTO THE SITE, ESPECIALLY CREDIT CARDS.

This is pretty dangerous. SSL (HTTPS) is a must for any online eCommerce.

    • hey mate just wondering if you got this phone yet, any issue?

      • Got the phone. Zero issues. Loving it. No band 28 = no difference. I used the oneplus switch app to transfer everything over from my 5T to this phone. Saved me hours of tinkering with settings.

The phone came around a week or so and was delayed at the airport due to covid lockdown here in Melbourne. So probably would have come quicker.

It was packed really well too. Thick protective covering over the oneplus packaging.

        Actual phone is great.

        • hows the camera on this phone? i checked dxomark and its decent… just wondering if i should get this one or oppo find x2 pro (when on discount)

          • @SS625: It's all relative. Coming from a Oneplus 5T, which had a questionable camera even at launch - the Oneplus 8 Pro is miles beyond it. Camera is not my priority for phones, but this camera was a big jump in quality over previous oneplus phones. I think the Oppo find x2 pro was better in almost every way over the 8 pro. But for $689, you can't go wrong with a Oneplus 8 pro. Amazing value.

  • Does the listed price include GST? The FAQ says "The price you paid is the final price. There is no GST for your purchased items in Australia (excluding New Zealand). please do not ask for tax return invoice as it does not apply to the item we sell" however would like to hear from someone who's bought from them (seems like 10% would be pretty big for them to cover if it was inclusive.)

Can confirm, that the listed price is what you actually paid for. My payment summary from PayPal was exactly the advertised amount + shipping.

    No 28, no deal.

  • 5G dual sim, is 5G running on band 28?

    • The bands are listed in the "Network" section of the description on the website. From my understanding, 5G is not related to Band 28.

  • I have had this phone and variant for 6 months. Great phone and no regrets from my end. I paid almost double this price.

    • Thanks for sharing. Eagerly awaiting for this to arrive. I'm coming from a oneplus 5t. Which site did you order through?

  • Great find! It's a shame i don't think id be able to make use of it as no band 28 may be an issue for me in regional victoria.

    • Yeah it may not be worth the risk. Having said that, you know what? When I did research into the effect of band 28, I noted quite a few experiences online of people who were not affected. Might be worth looking into. The main problem form what I could see, was that if the 4g network drops out due to band 28 issues, then it defaults to a 3g network - and 3g networks are supposed to be dismantled sometime in 2024.

  • I made a purchase from this site, a couple of days ago, haven't heard anything back from them. Is this normal?

    • From memory, it took a few days for them to confirm my order had been shipped, they then provided the tracking details. And that was basically all they gave me.

      What did you buy?
