These are in GamePass so make sure you really want them.

Good deal for people that actually want to own these games and not have their entire library tied to a monthly fee.

    • Games also leave GamePass so make sure you really don't want them.

      • With majority of them first party exclusives or Microsoft funded games, that seems unlikely. Name the ones you believe will leave GamePass…
If most of them were to leave GamePass, Microsoft would have broken their promise that first party games won't leave GamePass.

"Name the ones you believe will leave GamePass…"

I didn't know this was part of the exam! lmao dude

Just saying for $5 you can't go wrong.

          • @theory: There is a reason why these are on special. These are not going to leave GamePass library. Thus, if you don't need to play them all the time, you could just re-join when you really must play them.

Honestly, anyone who had GamePass and really wanted to play them would have played. Furthermore, with Quick Resume, do you really want to be swapping discs when playing these? Also, they are not easy to find for click and collect.

@netsurfer: Do you realise that not everyone has GamePass? Do you realise that not everyone has a new XBOX with quick resume?

@theory: Do you realise it is $1 for 3 months right now? How many of these disc version of games have you purchased? Have you tried to buy them and choose click and collect?

Even with just XBox One S|X, going digital on these is still easier. Even Gears 5 is on GamePass.

Do you know the pain when you purchased first party exclusive games and then Microsoft simply put them on GamePass? I know the pain. I purchased quite a few first party exclusives prior to GamePass being introduced. The values of those games simply tanked.

Furthermore, Microsoft has been gutless with new first party exclusives. When Gears 5 was launched / released, they had $1 deal for GamePass that month (same goes for Forza Horizon 4, Crackdown 3 etc…). Heck, Gears 5 was a game I played at launch (for $1).

Try them out quickly for $1. If you MUST own them, then you could consider buying I guess. Do realise these aren't the normal 3rd party titles so they won't leave GamePass.

@netsurfer: game pass is really good for value, but i live in a rural area of adelaide and internet connection sux and is very expensive. For me personally physical is the way i have to go.

i think that is the same for alot of people in rural areas around australia. Australia internet sux in general.

I feel like Forza is one of them, for example no FH3 on GP. They seem to last 3-4 years then are removed, even from the digital store to buy standalone is no more. Its now only accessible to users who had already purchased it.

Quantum Break should include a download card for Alan Wake. Both amazing games.

Thanks! Got crackdown, state of decay, super luckys tale, recore, and ryse. Finally fleshing out my xbox exclusives before they are hard to find in store.

  • Rocket Arena Mythic Edition is still $1 as well lol…this is still worth $15 on the Xbox/PS Store

I bought it for $1 just for the case (and now regretting it).

Thank you. Got a bunch of them. There is a chance that I'll never even open them, but the recent Sony decision (some reversed) to close down servers for older consoles made me realize more than ever that digital copies can go away just like that.
