I want to sign up for Amazon flex but it says I need an ABN. Is that correct and is it bad if I create an ABN just for this?

Might as well get an ABN anyway. But Amazon Flex is a joke, you will wreck your own car whilst earning around minimum wage after expenses. Stressful job and Amazon does not respect their workers at all.
Its strange that on their website they don't mention the pay anywhere. Safe to say its crap lol
It is $108 for a 4 hour block. Just not good enough since you have to use your own car (maintenance costs + fuel + increased risk of damage/accident), and then taxes need to come out of that too. I like the idea of it and considered doing it, but after hearing from a few people who have done it, nope not worth it at all. Not uncommon for people to complain about the deliveries or packages going missing too, and then Amazon threaten to cut you off.
When do you clock on? When you arrive at the warehouse? What about finishing?
Even a efficient car would have to cost $5/hour to run minimum, taking it down to $22/hour straight away, with no sick or holiday leave. That's terrible.
@Presence: You choose the time of the block, and then go to the warehouse to pickup your packages and begin your run. Some people reckon they can finish in 2-3 hours sometimes, but it all depends how many packages they give you and the difficulty of your local area (houses with steep drives and apartments, as well as busy areas with limited parking would be a PITA I reckon).
It's an easy job for quick cash while learning TA on the side. Go full-time TA when the time is right.
