AWESOME! Now I can get absolutely wasted and then drive my car and crash it into the service station pumps, THANKS LIQUORLAND!

To the neggers…gee, sarcasm is really hard to read online isn't it…

I don't get it. At no stage did Woolworths with their 30c offer or Coles with the 35c offer encourage customers to open the slab and drink it while driving home. If people consider these offers to be encouraging over 0.05 drink driving, they'll get a real shock when they see a drive thru liquor store.

I just don't see how they can be legally made to stop issuing fuel vouchers with cigarette purchases yet they can do the same with alcohol sales. As someone getting into law enforcement, it just doesn't make sense…

The decades old campaign against cigarettes has seen them hidden from view, wrapped in health warnings, taxed to hell and soon to be in plain packaging.

I'm not a smoker, but I do like to drink a glass of wine. While cigarettes are clearly harmful to health the same can be said for alcohol. I don't support the rather draconian limitations on tobacco as I know alcohol will be next in the firing line. I don't want to pay a volumetric tax just because some people in the community drink too much. All the restrictions we see on tobacco today may be coming within a decade to your local winery.

  • Wonder if this can be combined with the Buy a carton of beer, get any 6 beer pack for $10?

  • methinks the 30c Woolworths deal is better as their beer was on special, not this overpiced stuff. $44 for a box of light… pffft, $40 for Dry… pffft.

    • Agree, you can buy the same now for $72 instead of $80 as this weeks special.

    • edit: my mistake - poor jpg quality made it look like $44 light.. but is it is $44 Cascade Premium Lager.

Anyway, comment still stands… overpriced beer.
You can this week buy 2 VB for $72, next week 2 VB is $80 (and get with 35c coupon).

I would sooner buy Woolworths Boags Premium/Gage/Heineken/etc at 2 for $80 and get 30c voucher.

Combine with the car insurance triple discount to save $1.05!! …..wishful thinking… triple discount seems to just go through as 12 cents off.

    • +1

coles 'triple' discount is really a +8c discount.

So with this offer you would get 43c a litre off.

      • So how much does that make a tank/cylinder (or two) of LPG ?

  • This works out really well if your fuel tank is 180 litres ;)
52.50 off petrol therefore 2 cases of blonde for 35.50

    • i have a feeling its max 150 litres as per normal though

  • Why not make the carton of beer cheaper. I don't own a car, and feel discriminated !

    • Dan Murphy's is almost always cheaper than Liquorland. No gimmicks, no fuel vouchers.

  • My car runs on ethanol. Will my car run on these?

It depends on how good your liver works, I guess?

  • BWS 20% off all slabs still on (finishes tonight midnight) http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/62295 . Slabs of Corona are going for $40.

    • My silly (non-ozbargain-trained) woman paid $50 for Corona yesterday.

crap beer + poor price = no deal for me

  • Is this Australia-wide? T&C's read like NSW only. (from what I could make out, it was a bit wavy, this light beer I'm drinking must have more kick than I thought…)

    • saw the sign for this at my local safeway in VIC on the weekend

  • If your stupid enough to drink and drive you deserve to die

Encouraging the over consumption of alcohol by linking it with driving is irresponsible.

We have massive businesses selling a foul mix of petrol, poker machines, cheap petrol and $1 milk. Who's protecting us from these ghouls?

      You did petrol twice.
