Much better than going thru shaver shop. That being said, have been using soocas S3 then Soocas S5 shaver for the last couple of years. Same price as a shaver head from Phillips.

Options are options though I guess

  • How often are you supposed to replace these?

Every couple of years, but when cutting gets slow and frustrating is when I do it

  • Good price but still $60 is a bit steep. That's why I started using One blade.
    Did you try this one?

I wonder how it compares to the original replacement.

    • Had generic ones and disappointed with the cut. Wasted a few dollars. Now sticking with genuine

      • Thanks, that's what I thought. Cheers

  • At this price, you'd probably be better off buying a new shaver when discounted. At least you will get a new battery at full capacity and all. I know, creates more landfill but Philips needs to get their act together not to charge so much for replacements..

$60 over 2 years? Beats Gillette shaver heads from a cost and land fill perspective

My 9000 shaver handset has lasted 5yrs and going strong

      • The last Philips shaver I bought (8000 series from memory) I'd be lucky to get two months out of a set of genuine heads. They were over $100 to replace. It was pathetic.

        • Ok, I guess your mileage was different compared to others. For me, foil shavers (Remington especially) were pathetic. Philips used to have a 90 day money back guarantee, and I think they still do for a short time. You could've gotten your money back if they didn't suit you.

Philips Norelco upper models (9000 esp) have been great for myself and my family. Last week we bought another one for my nephew and he loves it.

From my experience, it is definitely better buying spares like this and cheaper too than replacement shavers. Also if you end up with a fault their warranty department can be quite generous with coverage over the years.

    • I bought 3 on the above S&S. Am set for a while. Lol

  • Hehe. Great price for legit spares as well.
