Feedback on Feiyue RC Cars

Gday all. I'm looking at Feiyue RC cars on Ebay/Banggood and wondering if anyone has feedback on them. They seem to be in a similar league to WLtoys and HSP. I've watched some youtube reviews and they seem pretty positive. Parts seem to be readily available. I'm leaning towards the cheaper models like the Fy03 (eg https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/174685333330?hash=item28ac0ea752…).

I'm mainly interested in how well they last, how reliable they are and how robust they are.

Thanks a lot.

      I agree!

  • Just go to hobbyking. They have proper RC cars and often have sales.

  • i picked up one of the https://www.banggood.com/XinleHong-9125-1-or-10-2_4G-4WD-46k… during the last sale.. and the thing flies.

  • Just looking at the ebay listing and answering your question about how long it will last is quite subjective.

From what I can see, the motor appears to be brushed such that it will wear out quicker than say a brushless.

Battery presumably will be cheap cells too.

It'll probably overall live for as long as the hype does for driving it. Hype is extended if playing with another person that can also appreciate what it does or indeed woth some that has another car to drive with.

It's a nice looking model though.

I used to fly RC helicopters, planes, cars and drones.

  • Just to update. At a similar price point I think I'm going to go with the Wltoys 144001. It has a metal chassis and better looking components. Still a brushed motor but a brushless upgrade is available. It looks like a better build quality for a similar price. With a couple of lipos it should go well.
