  • Can anyone recommend a mountain bike for ~$500?

    • +1

      2nd hand eBay, or bikenetwork

      • 2nd hand is good if the buyer knows his stuff, or you will help him choose and adjust it.
Otherwise, do we still say "you can't go wrong with Giant"?

  • +2

good find. got a co2 inflator with a cartridge for $9.95

  • Yeah, some stuff is pretty good value, some not as much. Free shipping makes it properly good.

*Note shipping can take a while. Customer service is good though.

I get energy gels and CO2 things from them. Might top up soon. Considering getting some lights off them too as my DXtreme ones are bad quality.

  • Is it just me or are these guys more expensive than torpedo 7?

  • anyone had any experience with this?

Reviews seem favourable. Just wanted to get a 13th opinion =p

    • Why can't a male's bike built with all these convenience?

      • Is there something unusual about your genitals that makes it impossible for you to ride a step-through bicycle?
Step-through frames are not as stiff as frames with top tubes, but you can ride them while wearing a skirt. Or kilt. Or whatever. In my experience, there's nothing stopping a man from riding a step-through.

    • Yep, just bought my wife one of those last weekend. She's really happy with it, seems to ride well, very comfortable, and just the right amount of girly. :)

      • What sort of gear does it has and how well does it work? I believe keep it simple is preferable rather than complicating thing with gears at this price range.

  • One would hope this free shipping deal stays around forever :p (Spoken by a typical cheapskate Ozbargainer :p)

  • Is something wrong with their website or me?
The only bikes I see are their own-brand yum cha.
I look at cranksets and see one cassette and one groupset misfiled - nothing else.
Road bike deraillers - a choice of one, and it is $400!
They do stock cassettes, but $99 vs $56 at CRC for HG80.
At least 02LyW above found a cheap accessory.

That site is a joke. I'll go back to CRC and Wiggle thanks.
(Might be a good shop if you live local, but compares badly online.)

  • Free Shipping coupons still work as of today!

    • Yup, still good today aswell.

Got some specials on tubes and gear too. Win ;p
