Cringe. No wonder it’s marked down for two bob!

    • +6

Underneath they had Ecko Utld shirts for $1 which looked even worse

      • +11

Did they find a pallet from 1995 sitting underneath an old film processing machine or something?

      • Also X Files t-shirts!

    • +14

So you dodged a bullet not buying it?

      • +5

        …….dodge this………

        • +7

But impulse buying marked down stuff from OzBargain is …

          Only human

    • +2

Cringe. If you're gonna use old-timey terms for money, at least do it correctly. Two-bob is the equivalent of 20c.

      • +1

You forgot to adjust for inflation…

  • +27

Not like this, not like this

    • +2

      … what?

    • ?

      • -6

        water grows cottton?

        • +3

So how do you work out that $100 worth of water goes into this?

          • -5

@Mondorock: estimation/ value of water… lot s of water used.. close exacgruation for an point

            • +5

@ilove: If $100 worth of water went into a T-shirt, it wouldn't cost $1. You could have said X litres, but no…you had to give a trash dollar figure.

              • @mubd1234: it's on the new s dude.

              • +1

                @mubd1234: 2700 litres

                • @ilove: How is 2700 litres $100 you just made that up. If the shirt cost $100 in water why would it retail for $12. You are an idiot.

            • +1

              @ilove: Are you drunk?

              • @sween64: no. why?

                • +2

                  @ilove: https://www.triplepundit.com/story/2013/it-takes-2700-liters…

it's takes 2700 litres of water to make a Tee

                  • +3

@ilove: $100 of water?!, what a long bow for you to draw

Clicking through to the WWF link it states - " it can take 2,700 liters" CAN is the objective word, and it pulls that high figure from cotton growing places like Pakistan that have dirt cheap water and even worse standard of efficiency in their farming practices.

So realistically 90c of water for 2700L in Pakistan

and even at Aus domestic prices thats $9 (but that would be realistically lower from less water use by better farming and water usage)

            • @ilove: exacgruation???

  • -4

    How much normally $3…… ?

    • +1

Did you look at the pic? $12 normally.

    • -2

K-Mart Australia slaps. Way more than American K-Mart.

    • -5

K-Mart sucks. On the other hand I get my underwear from K-Mart, they’re actually good for the money.

  • +10

    Fantastic old school nerd shirt.

    • +8

      Nerds are cool.

      • +4

        • +9

          You're breathtaking

  • +9

    Whoa

  • +7

Do these come in XXXL? …. asking for a friend.

    • +5

      They only come in XXXL.

  • +4

Kmart found some boxes out the back from 1999, that's why they are so cheap.

  • +1

Surprised it hasn’t been bought out by all the red pill/manosphere “men” who have “unplugged”!

    • +1

Probably don't want to support the directors.

  • -5

This t shirt is reduced to $2. according to the news it cost 2700 litres to make ONe t shirt..

  • +7

    Woah

  • +10

  • +4

    I can score bargains.

    Show me.

  • +6

Morpheus: Were you listening to me, Neo? Or were you looking at the man in the Matrix T-shirt?

  • The cost of making them on 2000 probably $1

  • +1

These would have been great as me and an old friend love quoting Matrix as a flashback to our younger years. These would have been hilarious for us.

  • Anyone get them elsewhere…? $5 on the kmart website.

    Morpheus: What is OzBargain?

    Control.

OzBargain is a deal-aggregating dream world… built to keep your disposable income under control, in order to change a human being into this: (Morpheus holds up a picture of Broden with a trunk full of clearance PS4s to be resold on Gumtree).

    Neo: No… I don't believe it. It's not possible.

Morpheus: I didn't say it would save you money in the long term Neo, I just said they had some good deals.

Neo: Stop. Log me out. Delete my account. I want out!

  • +2

    Morpheus:
Do you want the blue pill or the red pill?

    jv:
    I’ll take the red pill

  • +1

Good luck dodging all the crazy drivers in Sunnybank to get to this deal!

    • +11

.. when you’re ready, you won’t have to.

    • I drive through sunnybank daily and the worst I've seen is people not realising that a lane merge with no lines means that the car in front goes first. Sure, there's plenty of slow drivers, but theyre safe. Not sure why people like you perpetuate this.

Everything old is new again. In recent months I had seen Seinfeld themed pj's on the front window of a peter alexander store. While both Big W and Kmart had Seinfeld logo shirts and hoodies. Kmart also had a Kramer shirt a while back. I'm not 16 any more but I liked seeing the licensed clothing while out and about (novelty stores like granny mays, whats new, guess what etc). These days only being able to buy the really good ones online is disappointing.

    • +4

Must be related to Jason Alexander

I remember being a fresher watching the Matrix from a hot off the press bootlegged VCD on a projector at college. Those were the days. Woah.

    • +2

      VCD

shudders and you had to switch discs in addition to the shite quality.

      • The shite quality viewed on an 8 foot screen. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

      • Some early dvds replicated the same vcd experience. Had to flip the dvd over to continue the movie…… Godfather part 2 was like this). While others like Superman, Lethal Weapon 4 had the movie on 1 side and extras on the other. Then they just used 2 separate discs.

        • My copy of Starship Troopers was a flipper. In a way I'm glad they moved away from them (no disc artwork and it was hard to handle them without touching the surface) however on the other hand the bitrate would have reduced by sticking to one side.

Memory fails me but did any flippers have dual layers?

  • Now this is what OzBargain is about, $2 t-shirts!

  • Never thought I’d see someone on their soapbox over a t-shirt.

  • He IS the chosen one. This tee, not so much.
