  • good reviews on the South Park game … thanks :)

  • FYI Stick of Truth is still censored in Australia and Europe. Might wanna grab it from US eshop.

    • Its only a few minor probe scenes, and they replaced it with a crying koala which is kind of hilarious.

Still bizarre that cheesy south park animation graphics get censored but there is all manner of tragic weeb h-games on Steam.

      • damnnnnnn …. it's R-Rated so like … why the hell we receiving these blocks …

      • Because, from what I understand, Steam games don't have to go through the horrible Australian Classification Board, hence why Disco Elysium only had issues once it got a console release. Even after it got refused classification, you could still freely purchase it on Steam.

        • Eh? The Steam version was censored dude. I know because that's how I played it.

          • @Telios: I know, I didn't say it wasn't. I'm saying the reason why all those "weeb h-games" are allowed on our Steam store is because they don't have to go through the Australian Classification Board.

            • +1

              @dano: They do though…

              https://www.kotaku.com.au/2019/10/song-of-memories-banned-au…

Classification Board confirmed it had asked Steam to make the content unavailable for Australian audiences but as of writing, it still remains available.

“The Department has advised Steam that the computer game, Song of Memories, has been Refused Classification in Australia and has requested that it be removed from sale for Australian audiences,” a spokesperson confirmed.

They just let way more of them through even though IMO they are more creepy and offensive than anything South Park does as a joke.

The whole board only review around 200-400 games per year

              2019-2020 figures:

              Computer games
The Classification Board made 316 decisions on applications for computer games. The figures include applications made under the Authorised Assessor Scheme for Computer Games (AACG). Under this scheme, authorised assessors can make a recommendation about classification and consumer advice for a game at the G, PG or M classification levels. The Board is still responsible for the classification of the game, but its decision may be informed by an assessor’s report and recommendation of classification rating and consumer advice.

              • @Telios: They don't, it's optional. If it were required Song of Memories wouldn't have ever made it on the store to begin with. If I had to guess, they were forced to get it rated because it was also launching on the PlayStation Store, where it is a requirement. It's the same reason why Disco Elysium didn't get rated until it received a console version, despite already being on Steam for nearly two years.

    • damnnnnn …. wish i saw this before i got it …

and stupid Nintendo has no refund policy on eshop .. so im screwed .. haha

      • You might have luck if you give them a call. On rare occasions, they will issue refunds.

      • You are not missing that much though. Honestly.

  • +1 for dragon's dogma.

Honestly one of my favourite games of all time, and the Switch port is not too bad at all.
