Advice on BPCTech order (bpctech.com.au, formerly Budget PC)

Can anyone share advice on the reputation of this company?

I've seen a few posts on OZB for them, so they must have some integrity. Right?

I placed an order a couple of days ago for one of these bad boys, an ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming ITX motherboard. I paid for the order by bank transfer in order to save a buck on their debit charge, as the company seemed reputable.

I'm now regretting that decision as they have since sent me no order confirmation or response to two inquiries via their web messaging portal, I also attempted to track my order via their tracking page, however it seems non-functional.

It's only been 2 days but these are not good signs. Other buyers beware.

Edit: They got back to me today about the order, turns out the confirmation went to my spam folder. They have already posted it out as well, so I am a happy customer :)

    Bank transfer can take 1-3 business days. It's possible they haven't received it yet? I'd be saying buyer beware if it was more than a week.

    • Yeahhhh but transfers are usually pretty damned quick these days.

      I have not tried contacting the rep on here, I have tried contacting them directly - would be a pretty disappointing look for the company if that's how I need to get it resolved, but it wouldn't be the first time - I've had exactly that scenario with TechFast in the past. Suffice it to say that I have not placed an order with TechFast in the 2 years since.

    There is probably a backlog given Lockdown #4 in Melbourne.

    "* Please notice it usually takes about two days for the internet banking transaction to complete. The stock will be sent out to you once we see your payment deposited in our account."

    If staffing is impacted by the Lockdown less staff would be available to match cleared funds on Bank Statements with orders received.

    Maybe E-mail them a copy of your Bank Deposit receipt?

    • Fair enough I guess. That's the same reason I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs over an order.

      I've got <10 business days to go to my bank to attempt a transfer refund though, hence my worry.

    You maybe shocked that it works….

    • Tried yesterday but it rang out, trying again today now that they are open.

    I work nearby and have purchased a few things from them. They could work on thier comms maybe but I wouldn't be concered about thier integrity.

    Hope that helps a bit.

    • It does, cheers. I didn't realise they had just 2 stores and only in VIC, guess they're a pretty small operation.

  • So I've received a response from them now with an AusPost tracking number. Still no official order confirmation or receipt from them, which should raise alarm bells for any customer. Hopefully this thread will help future buyers.

      Spam folder? It would be unusual for any website to take an order and not immediately provide an acknowledgement.

        Mate you are on the money - can't believe I forgot to check!

        In between some very suggestive emails from a HANNA 45 and Sexycat11C, there sits an order confirmation from BPC Technology.

        I'll reach out to them with my sincerest apologies and to let them know their messages went to spam.
